Anyone like Alligators? Or The Gators? Well, saying that my sister does would be an understatement (she is a UF graduate)! So naturally there was no other theme we could go with–she even designed her nursery around these cute little gators! Now, I must admit that these photos are a few years old (my nephew is 2 now!), but I found them edited and on my desktop just waiting to be shared…shall we look at the details?
We rented out the cutest Tea Room and brought in the decor (although we didn’t need too much). Mostly all the decorations were made so that she could use them in the baby’s room. My Handy Dandy Dad made all the alligator pieces with his jig-saw. You may remember seeing his handy work here on my little guy’s nursery where he made cars and buildings…but I digress, back to Gators!
I designed the invitation and had them printed onto post cards (I must say…I think they turned out pretty cute!)
Now, you see the little gator in the terra cotta “swamp” pot? Come a little closer…
There…that’s better! Yes…those are delicious cake pops made to look like Gators! I ordered them from Cake Pop My Heart and she always does a fabulous job. The little pots I purchased from the craft store and used floral foam and moss to create the “swamp look” to display the pops in. One was placed at each setting for the guests to take home.
My SIL put together the “Wishes for Charlie” cards that made a wonderful keepsake for my sister to take home. The Gator Clothespin instructions can be found here.
I found this little guy in the pre-made section at Michael’s. I simply hot glued a pin on the back and wrote “Mommy to Be” on the front for our guest of honor to wear.
And while keeping with my “throw-back” here’s a shot of my not-so-little-anymore guy and his Aunt. Hope you enjoyed the party! Please don’t forget to follow along on Facebook and Pin your heart out! For more baby shower inspiration, check out my One Fish Two Fish and The Beatles Baby Showers!
