One Fish Two Fish Baby Shower

Dr. Suess Baby Shower

One Fish, Two Fish…Guess who’s having a NEW fish?! That’s right, we just hosted my SIL’s Baby Shower for her and her “Blue Fish” (did we get carried away with the theme or what?!) For a party like this, The PharMA couldn’t do it alone (wow…not only did I use third person but I did so using my “stage name”!)…so I assembled the “Dream Team” (aka Mom, Big Sis, and SIL) to help bring this party to life!

Fish

The AMAZING cake was made by a local bakery and brought by my SIL’s sister (is this getting confusing yet?!)

Fish

I can’t forget to thank my Dad (another member of the Dream Team) for making the adorable signs…

Fish

“Baby Things” seriously were…EVERYWHERE!! :)

Table decor consisted of different Seuss colored pots with bows, pin wheels, paper circles, and “baby things” wrapped as candy (more on this later).

We had a Seuss-like “Wishing Tree” for the couple to take home and plant when the baby is born. The guests tied a paper fish with a wish on the tree in lieu of a guest book. The sign states: “Please Make a Wish for Katie and her Little Fish”.

Fish

My sister’s incredible brie complete with fish cut-out!

Did you know most local bakeries can dye bread for you??

Handmade corsage for the Mommy-to-be!

Fish

My SIL (not the one having the baby:) made these super cute Fish Soaps for the favors (don’t they look like the real-deal from a carnival????!!!)

Isn’t she too cute??? We can’t wait to meet our new nephew!!!

Everything was so thoughtfully planned out and worked so perfectly together! Our family will cherish these memories always! Oh and I smile every time I walk up my entryway when I see the beautiful flowers that were used as center pieces and can’t wait to plant our “wishing” tree when the little man arrives! Hope everyone appreaciates all your creative ideas as much as I did!! Xoxo

Thanks Emily! I searched online for the image and downloaded the Dr. Suess font on dafont.com for the text. My parents have a tshirt printer but you could easily use iron on transfer paper onto a plain onesie for this project. Just don’t forget to click the “reverse image” option before you print for the iron on to read properly. Hope this helps! :)
