Nothing says summer like nice fresh Pineapple Donut Holes! Apparently I like playing with food (particularly Donut Holes) and my kiddos loved their tropical themed donut breakfast. Win, win. Imagine how cute these Pineapple Donut Holes would be served at a Luau or Pool Party!
How to Make Pineapple Donut Holes
Have you guys seen these?? are now in season! I also happen to love that they’re the “Flavor of Florida”. You’ll need at least a pack to make a good amount of Pineapple Donut Holes (not to worry, you’ll still have plenty left for snacking)…
First, I picked up some plain cake Donut Holes on BOGO, grabbed my stash of , and popped open the Twizzlers…
Next, I prepared for surgery. Yup…you read that right…a Twizzlectamy perhaps?? Grab a sharp knife and carefully cut a slit down the side to remove the center. Don’t worry if you don’t remove everything as it acts like a sort of “glue” when you go to attach it to the toothpicks.
Once you have removed the center, wrap the around the top of a toothpick enough to cover. Then cut additional slits to create the Pineapple top effect.
Fluff up the top and insert the tooth pick in the top of the donut hole. Repeat and make a bunch of Pineapples for all your friends!
So easy to make and so fun to eat! Like a mini Key Lime Pie in Donut Hole form.
Pineapples are largely recognized as a symbol of hospitality and I think these would for sure make you the Hostess with the Mostest if served at your next soiree!
Be a Pineapple…stand tall, wear a crown, and be sweet on the inside!
Thanks for stopping by…don’t forget…sharing is caring…
