We’re kind of going through a Ghostbusters obsession in our house right now…my kids have seen all 3 of the movies multiple times! So of course that means we needed some Ghostbusters toys to play with, right? I wasn’t having any luck finding them in the store so I decided to make my own. Aren’t they the cutest? Wanna make some too? Well, here is how to DIY your own Ghostbusters Toys…
I have a stash of wooden pieces (don’t ask) that you can pick up from the craft store in all shapes and sizes…I also have the most amazing and magical product ever on standby for projects such as these. It’s called Craft Attitude! Ever heard of it?
It’s printable film that adheres to just about anything! They have film for shoes, florals, lockers, and the list goes on! I used Craft Attitude Adhesive Sheets, 8-Sheet, 8.5 by 11-Inch for this project.
I searched online for the cutest Ghostbuster images I could find and I sized them down to fit my wooden pieces. You could really do this for any character or even use pictures of your own family members!
Follow the directions on the Wood Attitude package. This includes waiting for the film to completely dry (oh the agony!), cutting out the image, and having your glue stick ready.
Peel off and glue onto your wooden pieces.
Imagine the possibilities. Sometimes it’s nice to have some “low tech” toys! But you gotta work fast…
My little guy was super excited to play with these!
So just remember if you can find them–DIY them!
Is there something strange in your neighborhood?
Luckily I have my own live in Ghostbuster–“busting’ makes him feel good”!
