Summer is here! One of my all time favorite treats is this red, white, and blue no-bake cake that my mom always made. Since becoming a mom myself, the tradition has continued in my house and the kids love helping out!
Ingredients:
- 20 pretzel rods
- Medium carton of Cool Whip
- 8oz cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 stick of butter
- Strawberries
- Blueberries
- Bananas
- 9×13 pan
Put the pretzel rods in a ziplock and have fun crunching them up!! You want to make a fine pretzel “dust” for the crust–you could use a food processor if you prefer.
Add sugar and melted butter, combine. Smush into the pan evenly to make the crust.
Slice your bananas into “wheels” and cover the entire crust with one layer.
In a bowl, combine cool whip, powdered sugar, and softened cream cheese. Spread evenly over crust and bananas. Smooth top with a knife.
Slice strawberries. Place strawberries in line for your stripes and use blueberries for your stars. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
A yummy treat for Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Flag Day, or ANY day! Looking for more Red, White, and Blue party food? Check out my super easy Patriotic Strawberries here!
