So I have to tell you, when I got contacted by CafePress.com to do a DIY project I was beyond thrilled because:

And so…my little brain came up with these DIY Dry Erase Placemats…
My first design I call the Eat & Sketch– well, for obvious reasons! I’m proud to say that they have been kid tested and approved. Here’s the proof:
My second design I call “Hello My Name Is“…created to look like a Classic Name Badge Placemat. These could really be fun for kids to practice writing their names or at a dinner party in lieu of place cards…
Would you like to make some of your own? You can order my designs by going to my little shop at PharMACafe over at CafePress. You’ll also need Iron-on Vinyl (found on the bolt with fabric), your iron, and dry-erase markers.
Cut the vinyl to the size of your placemat and follow the instructions on the package. TIP: press and hold adheres the vinyl- moving the iron around does not (and yes…I learned the hard way!) See the shine after adding the vinyl?
Next, open up your markers, have fun, wipe clean, and repeat!
I throw these placemats in my purse when we head out to eat, and I am planning on giving them as gifts for all my nieces and nephews!
