Hook, Line, & Sinker Party

Hook, LIne, & Sinker Rehearsal Dinner, Couples Shower

Now you’re probably thinking…what the heck is a “Hook, Line, & Sinker” Party anyway?? Let me explain: a year ago my “little” brother got married to his high school sweetheart and in honor of their 1 year anniversary I’m finally getting around to posting the rehearsal dinner party that we hosted (WE=my most creative family!)

Hook Line & Sinker Invitation Couples Shower

Since my brother and his now wife love the water (and fishing)–I designed the invitation and printables and a theme was born! Wouldn’t this theme be great for an engagement party too???

DIY Giant Fishing Pole
Rehearsal Dinner, Fishing Themed Party

We hosted the rehearsal dinner outdoors at a local park on a lake. My mom came up with the brilliant idea to use fishing nets, laterns, and wooden fish (all handmade by my pops!) to spruce up the pavilion.

Custom Handmade Signs

He also made an assortment of signs…

Next up: Table decor

Notice the over-sized Hook, Line, and Sinkers!

My older brother and father were in charge of the life size fisherman cutout for photo fun!

Hook Line and Sinker

And an over-sized fishing pole, hook, and bobber!

Tic Tac Toe boards made of wood, string, shells, and glass pieces for favors.

A yummy nacho bar in lieu of a cookout :)

…and a S’mores Bar for dessert! Please check back on the blog for more details on this later–you won’t want to miss it!

Happy Anniversary Bob and Katie!!!!

Thanks again for stopping by–I’m back to all my duties as a “PharMA” (i.e. rep, mother, and wife!) so I apologize for the sporadic posts but I’m sure I will find more time soon!

I would LOVE for you to get “Hooked” on my blog and follow me on FacebookTwitter, or on RSS Feed!

      Hi Jan–

So sorry for the delayed response–do you still need the invitations? I don’t have them as a printable but I could do something custom for you if you are interested. Let me know if you still need them!

    Lovely post :)

Just wondering, where did you get the container for your nachos ingredients? With the ice on the bottom. So cool!

    Thanks a lot!

Hi Wendy! So glad you liked it! The containers were from Target…I believe I’ve seen similar at Homegoods as well :)
